COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY
The Government of India, Department of Youth Affairs & Sports has formulated a scheme for providing financial assistance to promising sportspersons, who have equaled or excelled the existing National record in the relevant category, i.e., senior/junior and sub-junior where achievements are measurable. In other individual disciplines and team events assistance may be considered to most deserving-generally the sportsperson who had won Gold medal in National level tournament/championship.
CAREER PROSPECTS
Financial assistance may be considered for training of sportspersons in institutions abroad where latest improved facilities may be available. The coaches, referees and scientific officers may also be covered under the scheme.
PAY PACKAGE
Qualifying sportspersons, coaches and sports scientists may submit applications for financial assistance as per application form available with Secretary of the concerned National Sports Federation and with Regional Directors of the Sports Authority of India, so as to reach Sports Authority of India by a date of May and address to:
